Pipe Fitting Technician

Fiberglass Technicians wanted for varied projects in Western Australia. We are seeking a skilled and experienced tradesperson to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have sound knowledge of all aspects of materials and procedures, including compliance with safety standards and quality requirements. Experience in fiberglass repair work, pipe fitting and manufacturing is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare GRP substrate by mechanical abrasion according to procedures and specifications.
- Develop and prepare reinforcement cutting templates and then cut reinforcements while maintaining material traceability
- Proficient in using resin rollers and spray equipment;
- Inspect and check completed works at each stage to ensure correctness of work;
- Analyse and resolve work problems associated with the selection and preparation of protective laminates;
- Estimate requisitions of materials, tools and consumables required for planned daily works;
- Ensure correct use of tools and equipment;
- Understand onsite QA requirements;
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Three years of work experience in a related field or trade qualification;
- White Card induction; Essential Qualifications include Specialisation in Fibreglass work, Experience in a manufacturing environment, Strong knowledge of fiberglass pipe work and Sound communication skills;
- Desirable Qualifications include Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, Sound knowledge of current occupational health and safety / industrial relations and Provide leadership and motivation of employees when applicable.
Work Arrangements:
Salary: $71,000 - $75,000 per year
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Naval Base, WA 6165
