Ravenswood School for Girls is seeking a highly organized and passionate individual to join its Sport Department as a Sports Coordinator & Duke of Edinburgh's Award Coordinator. This role plays a key part in administering and delivering junior school sport programs and the Duke of Edinburgh's Award.
Sports Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Assist the Director of Sport with planning and delivering various sport programs across the school.
- Organize, promote, and manage Junior School Sport programs, including casual sport coach management, administration, and competition logistics.
- Coordinate House Sport carnivals and other sporting events.
- Provide administrative support for all school sports-related activities.
- Ensure smooth operation of all sport initiatives, including weekend sports events and competitions.
Duke of Edinburgh's Award Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Duke of Edinburgh's Award program, coordinating adventurous journeys through external providers, and related activities.
- Liaise with students, parents, staff, and external providers to ensure successful implementation of the Award.
- Conduct risk assessments and manage health and safety requirements for all Award-related activities.
Key Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational, administrative, and communication skills. They should have experience in managing or coordinating sports programs and/or cocurricular activities. Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, staff, and external providers is essential. Familiarity with safety protocols, risk assessments, and compliance standards is also required. Passion for fostering student growth and well-being through sport and adventure is necessary. Flexibility to work on Saturdays as part of the full-time role is expected.
