Autonomous Technology Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Autonomous Specialist to join our team in Western Australia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and operation of Hexagon's onboard technology on both autonomous and driven vehicle fleets.
Key Responsibilities:- Responsible for the installation, commissioning, and operation of Hexagon's onboard technology on both autonomous and driven vehicle fleets.
- Establish and enforce comprehensive safety protocols and risk management strategies to minimize accidents or incidents.
- Lead the data analysis and review of the onboard technology, reporting any incidents and driving continuous improvement.
- Own technical configuration of onboard technology ensuring any changes are documented and approved via Management of Change procedure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of onboard technologies.
- Commission supplied server and network infrastructure to efficiently run Hexagon's autonomous technology.
- Ongoing system monitoring and performance optimization.
- Provide a helpdesk to address user inquiries, troubleshoot system issues, and provide technical guidance.
- Primary technical liaison point with our client who provides the hosting and network infrastructure that operates the autonomous systems.
- Implement and manage security measures to protect from unauthorized access, data breaches, and cyber threats.
- Operate the autonomous road trains across all areas of the haulage operation including loading, travelling, tipping, refuelling, and marshalling.
- Optimize haulage routes to minimize travel time, fuel consumption, and road wear.
- Establish a continuous improvement approach, identifying and executing initiatives to further optimize haulage operations.
- Proactively monitor and supervise haulage operations to address potential issues or emergencies.
- Provide real-time tracking and reporting, including progress updates and material movement.
- STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) Bachelor's degree.
- Understanding of mining operations and processes.
- Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and understand data.
- Passion for and understanding of autonomous technologies will be advantageous.
This is a fly-in-fly-out position on an 8/6 and 7/7 roster for a healthy work-life balance, or any other location/roster necessary to meet project requirements.
