We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Graduate Diploma in Midwifery program at Northern Beaches Hospital.

This comprehensive program provides a supportive and caring environment for midwifery students to learn, develop and consolidate clinical skills. Key components include:

  • A structured program across the continuum of maternal and newborn care

To be successful, applicants must meet the following selection criteria:

  • Current Nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA)
  • Registered Nurse with minimum 1 year full-time experience in an acute care setting
  • Concurrent enrolment in a Diploma of Midwifery University program at UTS or WSU
  • Ability to undertake part-time employment of FTE 0.84, 8 and 12 hr shifts on a 7-day rotating roster
  • Understanding of the role of a midwife within a primary healthcare framework
  • Demonstrated ability in clinical problem solving
  • Demonstrated high level of interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of, and ability to work within a team
