Position: Warehouse Operative

Description:

We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused warehouse operative to join our logistics team.

Your key responsibilities will include operating high-reach forklifts, loading and unloading trucks, trailers and rail wagons, sorting and checking freight against delivery paperwork, restraining loads according to the National Load Restraint Guide, palletising and packing loads, handling general and non-standard freight, counterbalance forklift operation, heavy lifting and dunnage duties, general cleaning duties, securing and restraining loads in a safe manner, performing vehicle pre-start checks and reporting damage or shortages via an exception reporting process.

You will also be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of trailers, wagons and our premises, as well as complying with our Warehouse Traffic Management Plan and all relevant policies, procedures and legislation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need to hold a current LF High Risk Work license and have experience operating a High-Reach Forklift in a warehouse environment. Experience with temperature-controlled goods is highly desirable, as is knowledge and experience with load restraint procedures and Chain of Responsibility.
