The Opportunity
We are seeking a Branch Manager to manage operations across 2 sites in Kalgoorlie, delivering exceptional service quality to customers and achieving operational and business performance targets. About You
You will likely have an operational leadership background, ideally with some exposure to waste management. Strong track record of safety leadership and performance, hands-on frontline leadership approach, commercial grounding to analyse pricing, tenders, quotes etc., demonstrated experience and understanding of industrial relations, well-developed experience with P&L management with sound financial acumen, and extensive experience in influencing/negotiating internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide frontline Health & Safety, Operational, Financial and Maintenance leadership to a diverse team of ~25 employees.
- Drive a culture of compliance and safety to ensure effective risk and compliance initiatives are established and promoted.
- Ensure that appropriate performance reviews, talent management and succession plans are in place to maximise engagement and retention of employees.
- Ensure the appropriate equipment is available to meet operational requirements.
- Partner with the commercial finance team to deliver data integrity and process improvements for sustainable growth in market.
- Monitor and manage activities of the Branch and be accountable for the overall operational and financial performance including Profit and Loss reporting, budget preparation, forecast reviews, financial performance and achieving agreed financial/operational targets.
- Manage a substantial local government waste services portfolio.
