Job Title: Skilled Birth Companion

We seek a dedicated and compassionate Skilled Birth Companion to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and advocating for individualized woman-centered care throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and postnatal periods.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with obstetricians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive antenatal and postnatal care.
  2. Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional well-being, developing personalized care plans to meet their unique needs.
  3. Support new mothers in the immediate postpartum period, offering guidance on breastfeeding, newborn care, and general health and wellness.

Requirements:

  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Midwife or equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality patient care.
  • Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work a seven-day roster, including night duty, with a commitment to providing excellent care across all shifts.
