Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver lesson plans and programs to achieve specific student outcomes.
  • Assist staff to use data to inform teaching approaches and improve student learning outcomes.
  • Model exemplary classroom practice and mentor/coach other teachers to engage in critical reflection of their practice.
  • Supervise and train one or more student teachers.
Selection Criteria

The following criteria are essential for this role:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including the ability to incorporate literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Experience in planning for and implementing high-impact teaching strategies.
  • Ability to monitor and assess student learning, using data to inform teaching practice.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and the broader school community.
Requirements
  • Current Victorian Institute of Teaching registration or eligibility for registration.
  • Qualification to teach and/or demonstrated experience in the specified curriculum area.
