About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Coordinator for Contributions Planning to join our team at Core Talent Pty. The successful candidate will lead our contributions team in the development and delivery of infrastructure funded by developer contributions, including Local Contributions Plans and Voluntary Planning Agreements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of our Contributions Planning strategy.
  • Manage the delivery of Local Contributions Plans, Voluntary Planning Agreements, and Works in Kind Agreements.
  • Provide expert guidance on contributions planning to internal stakeholders, including the City Planning Manager, Executive Team, and Council.
  • Oversee the negotiation and preparation of planning agreements in collaboration with legal and technical planning teams.
  • Stay informed of legislative changes and best practices in contributions planning, ensuring we remain compliant and competitive.
  • Lead and inspire a small team, fostering an environment of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Engage with external stakeholders, including developers, government agencies, legal advisors, and other councils, to support strategic outcomes.
  • Develop business plans and manage budgets to effectively allocate resources and meet project goals.
  • Represent us in public forums, external committees, and working groups.
Essential Criteria
  • A relevant degree or equivalent experience in urban planning, development, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with a proven track record in contributions planning.
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure funding, Local Contributions Plans, and planning agreements.
  • Knowledge of NSW's legislative framework for contributions planning (or ability to rapidly acquire).
  • Proven ability to manage and motivate a team, ensuring strategic objectives are met.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience in leading complex projects from inception to completion.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Current Class C Driver's Licence.
Desirable Criteria
  • Postgraduate qualifications in urban planning or related field.
  • Membership of a relevant professional body.
  • Experience working within Western Sydney or growth areas.
