About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Water Infrastructure Planner to join our team in South East Queensland. As a key member of our Integrated Water Planning business, you will be responsible for delivering complex, large-scale projects focused on water network planning and engineering.

Your primary focus will be on project delivery, business development, and providing technical guidance to junior engineers. You will work closely with clients to develop and evaluate options for water planning and infrastructure development, leveraging your expertise in hydraulic network modeling and water system services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project delivery and contributing to the growth and maintenance of our Integrated Water Planning business.
  • Business development, including client engagement, proposal preparation, and bid management for clients in the water and infrastructure sectors.
  • Proactive delivery of high-quality and timely valued water network planning solutions, focusing on flexibility, sustainability, optimization, integration, whole-of-lifecycle cost, and acceptable risk.
  • Checking and review of project outputs, including project deliverables, through to technical verification and peer review.
  • Providing technical guidance and support to junior engineers and maintaining a high-performing team culture.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in water infrastructure planning and engineering.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and consulting experience.
  • Demonstrated network planning experience, including the development and evaluation of options and proficiency in hydraulic network modeling of water and/or wastewater systems.
  • Understanding of current and potential future policy, practice, trends, technology, and information affecting water planning, including drivers, regulation, framework, and guidelines.
  • Proven track record in the successful delivery of large projects on time, within budget, and outstanding quality.
  • Excellent communication skills and high-quality technical and non-technical report writing.
  • Client relationship and management skills and experience.
