Teach Dance with Passion

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Dance Teacher to join our team. As a Dance Teacher at St Michael's Grammar School, you will have the opportunity to inspire and educate students of all ages and abilities.

The successful candidate will possess excellent teaching skills, be able to adapt their teaching style to meet the needs of mixed-ability classes, and have a strong commitment to promoting pastoral care objectives. They will also be responsible for contributing to co-curricular activities throughout the school year.

About the Role:

  • Deliver high-quality Dance lessons to students from Kindergarten to Year 12.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the needs of all students.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to improve their skills.
  • Promote a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver co-curricular activities.

Key Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor of Education or equivalent qualification in Dance or a related field.
  • Proven experience in teaching Dance in a secondary school setting.
  • Qualifications in choreography and/or dance performance would be highly regarded.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of child safety expectations and policies.
