Job Summary

SchoolHouse is seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to lead the Technologies department in our secondary school. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight to ensure the delivery of high-quality education to our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Technologies department in the secondary school, providing guidance and support to teachers and staff.
  • Develop and implement curriculum plans that align with school goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective teaching and learning environment.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address them.
  • Manage departmental resources, including budgeting and personnel.
Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications, such as a Bachelor of Education.
  • Current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) or eligibility to obtain one prior to commencement.
  • Familiarity with QCAA processes and recent experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Appropriate qualifications and experience teaching subjects outlined above.
  • Understanding and appreciation of regional Queensland education.
  • Enthusiasm and flexibility with the ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
