Critical Environment Instrumentation Role

This is a high-profile position that plays a pivotal role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for online services, including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform.

The team responsible for maintaining ICS availability, data quality, service and change management, reporting, and security of all ICS systems in Data Centers requires an individual who can manage site-level ICS programs and projects, govern global initiatives related to ICS systems, and directly participate in their execution.

A strong candidate will have expertise in managing, servicing, and governing Microsoft's electrical and mechanical industrial control systems (ICS) to include servers, applications, networks, and device infrastructure deployed within 24x7x365 mission-critical datacenters.

Key responsibilities include governing logical and physical access, approval, and permissions related to all ICS systems, networks, workstations, and servers that provide datacenter monitoring and controls.

The successful candidate will empower a culture of safety and security in global datacenter operations by complying with CO+I's safety programs and policies and completing compliance knowledge assessments.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and have at least 3 years of technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, service engineering, or systems engineering. Alternatively, they may have equivalent experience in these fields.

Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree or applicable field experience in Critical Environments, Electrical, Industrial, or Mechanical, along with 3+ Years of experience in an operational, mission-critical, 24x7x365 facility and 1.5+ Years of experience in the design and/or commissioning of Industrial Controls Systems (ICS) in datacenter critical environments including the Modbus and BACnet protocols.
