  • We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Deli Assistant. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and packaging meals, entrees, salads, party trays, rotisserie chicken, sliced meats, and cheeses.">
  • You will also be required to prepare take-and-bake pizzas, stock and rotate merchandise in the display case, maintain machinery and equipment, and provide prompt and courteous customer service to members, employees, and suppliers.">

Responsibilities:

  1. ">
  2. Rotating roster which will include weekend work hours between 5am-11pm.">
  3. Dismantles equipment, washes, rinses and sanitizes removable parts, equipment in Deli and Rotisserie rooms.">
  4. Inspects and reassembles equipment, addresses any corrective actions from the previous night.">
  5. Rework display case, filling and rotating merchandise.">
  6. Completes required department paperwork.">
  7. Cleans and sanitizes work area throughout the day following sanitation standard operating procedures (SSOP) guidelines for proper cleaning and sanitation of all equipment required by this position.">
  8. Completes and complies with 11 commandments of Quality assurance, food safety certification, department specific training and all safety training required by warehouse, service deli and rotisserie department.">
  9. Complies with health code by following sanitation standards and maintaining proper temperatures.">
  10. Stocks and rotates supplies in cooler/freezer.">
  11. Removes rubbish from department and work areas.">
  12. Operates trash compactor and cardboard baler.">
  13. Skeers and loads chicken into rotisserie ovens.">
  14. Cooks chicken as per Standard Operating Procedure.">
  15. Packages, labels and displays chicken in hot holding cabinet.">
  16. Adheres to all departments Standard Operating Procedures.">
  17. Prepares meat, poultry, cold meat, vegetables and seafood as per Standard Operating Procedures.">
  18. Assembles platters, pizzas, sushi, salads, raw meats and other items sold in the Service Deli and Rotisserie departments.">
  19. Assists with other department of the warehouse as necessary.">
  20. Provides and ensures prompt and courteous customer service to members, employees and vendors.">
  21. Ability to operate vehicles, equipment or machinery.">
  22. Equipment and machinery you will operate or access: pressure washer, commercial dish washer, combination heat/steam oven, warming case, shears, wheeled racks, proofing boxes, ovens, trash compactor, cardboard baler, pallet jack, blast chiller, air hose cleaner, step ladder.">

Qualifications:

  • Higher School Certificate or higher.">
  • Food service or comparable experience.">
  • Previous food handling experience.">
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.">
