Enrolled Nurse

We are seeking an Enrolled Nurse to join our team at Southern Cross Care, where you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our residents and clients.
As an Enrolled Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care while supervising and guiding personal care workers. You will work positively and collaboratively with other staff and qualified practitioners to provide proactive person-centred service and support that is safe and effective for residents.
Key Responsibilities- Promote independence and help residents regain their confidence and engage in meaningful activities
- Work collaboratively with other staff and qualified practitioners to provide person-centred care
- Ensure medications are administered in a timely and safe manner
- Provide assistance, guidance, direction, support, mentoring, and coaching to Personal Carers
- Maintain current knowledge of contemporary best practice clinical care within the scope of enrolled nursing practice
- Report any risks that have the potential to cause an accident or injury
- Keep detailed records and ensure comprehensive handovers between shifts
We are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering high-quality care and has the following skills and experience:
- Diploma of Nursing with current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse
- Current First Aid Certificate and Current CPR Certificate
- At least 1-2 years of experience working as an Enrolled Nurse in an Aged Care Environment
- Sound communication skills with a level of English literacy that enables you to speak in a manner that older people can understand
- The ability to read written instructions and write clearly and concisely
- Exceptional time management skills to manage own workload and support other staff
- High level understanding of the requirements to support residents living with dementia
