Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Strategic Legal Guidance: Advise on all legal aspects of mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, venture capital, and other strategic transactions, including corporate structuring, due diligence, negotiation, documentation, and integration.
  • Ensure Compliance: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure legal compliance and mitigate risks in business transactions and activities.
  • Manage Legal Risks: Stay informed about changes in laws and regulations that may impact the company and proactively advise management on potential legal risks and implications.
  • Lead and Manage: Lead and manage legal affairs within the company, providing strategic legal guidance and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 10+ years post-qualification experience with relevant experience at a top-tier law firm or relevant in-house experience.
  • Qualifications: Admitted as a lawyer to practice in Australia.
  • Skills: Strong communication and organisational skills, excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, high degree of commercial acumen to understand the business' key drivers, and demonstrated adherence to a high standard of professional principles to ensure honesty, integrity, and ethical decision-making in all situations.
