About the Role

We are seeking a talented Graduate Landscape Architect to join our multidisciplinary team at Strathfield Council. As a Graduate Landscape Architect, you will play a key role in assisting the development of landscape architectural drawings for our public parks and reserves.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare high-quality landscape architectural plans for various stages, including concept design, detailed design, and final construction.
  • Collaborate effectively with our multidisciplinary team to achieve balanced design outcomes that consider visual aesthetics, technical considerations, and environmental, social, and economic integrity.
  • Attend meetings and communicate with Council staff and external consultants to ensure successful project delivery.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in landscape architecture or completion date in 2024.
  • Demonstrated understanding of technical standards and design principles.
  • Knowledge of sustainable design principles and commitment to achieving environmentally, socially, and economically sustainable outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and graphic.
  • Proven creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of computer literacy and proficiency in professional design software applications.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels.
  • Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Current NSW Class C Driver's License.
  • Current WHS General Induction Certificate (White Card) (Desirable)
