Salary

The estimated salary for this role is around AU$80,000 - AU$120,000 per annum, based on location and industry standards.

Job Description

This leadership position involves effectively supporting the Store Manager in driving store and team performance by creating an exceptional customer experience, promoting a strong sales driving attitude, and fostering a people-first culture. As Assistant Store Manager, you will:

  • Create and maintain a people-first culture that values development, collaboration, transparency, and open communication.
  • Lead, coach, and support the store team to achieve people, performance, planning, and operational goals.
  • Provide regular and effective feedback that prioritizes professional development and internal progression in a professional and people-first manner.

Performance Metrics

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the team delivers an exceptional customer experience using CLASS sale selling steps and relevant customer service techniques.
  • Driving and maintaining sales performance within the store, aligning with retail goals, budgets, and KPIs.
  • Supporting the Store Manager in planning and executing visual merchandising (VM) guides to the VM guideline standard.
  • Conducting effective weekly store walks with the Store Manager to discuss store and team opportunities and develop actions.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact and manager on duty on the Store Manager's RDO and Annual Leave.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have prior experience as an Assistant Store Manager or equivalent leadership position in the retail industry. Your skills and qualifications should include leadership, communication, and customer service expertise.
