Job DescriptionThe Theatre Nurse plays a vital role in our Theatre team, working alongside experienced nurses to ensure the smooth operation of surgical procedures.
This dynamic position requires an individual with excellent communication skills, who can work effectively within a fast-paced environment.
- Preparation of patients for surgery, including obtaining necessary information and ensuring equipment is ready for use.
- Assisting anaesthetists and surgeons during surgical procedures, maintaining a safe and efficient operating theatre environment.
- Providing exceptional patient care, responding to their needs and concerns, and promoting a positive hospital experience.

Key Responsibilities:- Maintaining accurate records and reporting any incidents or near misses to the Nurse Unit Manager.
- Relevant current registration with AHPRA as an Enrolled Nurse.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in perioperative nursing.
- Experience in scrub/scout nursing is highly regarded.
