About the Role:

We're seeking a results-driven Customer Development Manager to showcase their passion for the automotive industry and exceptional sales skills by delivering outstanding sales and service experiences to our trade customers.

As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for solving customer problems through consultation, relationship building, and understanding customer needs. You'll also be responsible for sales and gross margin performance of your territory, attending and participating in sales meetings, trade shows, and training sessions.

Our ideal candidate is an engaging, strong communicator with sound negotiating skills who thrives in a KPI-driven environment and has a passion for all things automotive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Solve customer problems through consultation, relationship building, and understanding customer needs
  • Responsibility for sales and gross margin performance of your territory
  • Attend and participate in sales meetings, trade shows, and training sessions
  • Achieve sales budgets
  • Developing new business (business development and account management)
  • Foster and drive a culture of safety by putting safety first, ensuring that we all make it safe & make it home

Requirements:

  • An engaging, strong communicator, with sound negotiating skills
  • Solutions and service focussed
  • Track record in account management or business development
  • Thrive in a KPI driven environment
  • Sales and/or customer management experience (automotive industry preferred)
  • Ability to liaise and build relationships with customers and company stakeholders
  • Experience using CRM systems
  • A valid Australian driver's licence
