Job Description

As a strategic leader in education, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our students. You will be responsible for leading and developing a team of educators to deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences that cater to the diverse needs of students.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in educational leadership, with experience in successfully leading teams and implementing strategies to drive improvement. They will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, students, and parents.

You will work closely with the Executive Principal to maintain a whole-school culture where all staff and students feel valued and supported. Your expertise in coaching and mentoring will enable you to develop and support staff members to achieve their full potential.

In addition to your leadership skills, you will possess a deep understanding of the curriculum and pedagogy, with experience in delivering high-quality teaching and learning programs. Your ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of the school.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Full Registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA)
  • A Tertiary qualification in Education or Teaching that is recognised in Western Australia
  • Post Graduate qualification/s in Education Leadership / Business Management (highly regarded but not essential)
  • Experience in successful strategic leadership in an educational setting
  • Knowledge regarding school budgeting and legislative requirements (CARE School knowledge is desirable but not essential)
  • Coaching and mentoring skills
  • Experiential knowledge of Direct Instruction
