Job Description:

This is a rare opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of one of South East Queensland's most naturally stunning, diverse and thriving communities.

The General Manager will be responsible for leading a department with over 375 staff members. The ideal candidate will have exceptional leadership skills and the ability to shape the strategic direction of services that touch every corner of the community.

  • Develop innovative projects that enhance liveability and build resilience.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to deliver bold outcomes.
  • Influence the cultural fabric of the city through customer service experiences that are truly community-focused.

You'll join a dynamic Executive Leadership Team and work directly with the Chief Executive Officer. You'll champion excellence, safety, innovation, and sustainability and be a key driver of our Corporate Plan.

To be fully effective you will need to be able to rapidly develop an understanding of the legislative frameworks underpinning Local Government and commercial business units.
