Employment Coach Opportunity

Cranbourne, Full Time - $63,630- $70,571 pa

Are you passionate about empowering individuals to reach their career goals?

As an Employment Coach, you will actively engage with participants to overcome career challenges, develop essential skills, and achieve their employment objectives. SYC delivers employment services at over 50 locations throughout Australia. We are currently seeking a dedicated Employment Coach to join our team in Cranbourne.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one coaching sessions to participants, assessing their career needs, and creating personalized action plans.
  • Conduct career assessments and help clients identify their strengths, interests, and values to guide their employment goals.
  • Use sales strategies to work collaboratively and network with community organizations to create opportunities for participants.
  • Assist participants in developing effective job search strategies, including resume writing and interview preparation.
  • Refer participants through training, counseling, and other services to increase long-term employment outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance requirements are met.

About You

We are looking for someone who enjoys working autonomously within a broader team environment, is enthusiastic, empathetic, and dedicated to making a difference in people's lives. You will have experience in administration, strong attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines and outlined KPI targets, and the ability to work in an agile environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Experience in customer service, client-facing or an administrative role.
  • Time management, organizational skills, and the ability to plan and prioritize to achieve outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills with well-developed verbal and written skills, and the ability to conduct client assessments, develop case plans, and case notes and reports.
  • Interpersonal conflict resolution and negotiation skills, along with the ability to identify innovative and lateral solutions to problems.
  • Ability to develop relationships with employers and relevant stakeholders.
  • Excellent computer skills.

Requirements:

  • Be willing to complete a Working with Children Check and National Police Check.
  • Have possession of a current valid Driver's License, willingness to drive, and your own registered vehicle with a 4–5-star ANCAP safety rating.
  • Be eligible to work in Australia.
