Job Overview

In this dynamic and design-focused role, you'll play a pivotal part in shaping Optus' network infrastructure solutions, ensuring seamless digital and IT operations across the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop network-centric infrastructure solutions to support Optus' IT and digital platforms.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate network and infrastructure designs seamlessly across systems.
  • Assess and implement strategies for improving network reliability, performance, and scalability.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot network and infrastructure issues, ensuring effective and timely resolution.
  • Research emerging technologies, with a focus on network and infrastructure innovation, recommending solutions aligned with business goals.
  • Document network designs, infrastructure configurations, and processes to support knowledge-sharing and maintain compliance standards.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in designing scalable, high-performance infrastructure with a strong emphasis on network solutions.
  • Expert knowledge and proven experience with technologies such as MPLS, MP-BGP, OSPF, Wireless, DNAC/Catalyst Centre and ISE.
  • Extensive knowledge of cloud-based networking technologies, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • In-depth understanding of network infrastructure components, storage, and virtualisation.
  • Experience managing and troubleshooting complex network environments in enterprise settings.
  • Proficiency with automation and scripting tools, such as Ansible, Terraform, or PowerShell, to support network operations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills focused on delivering innovative, network-oriented solutions within a collaborative team setting.
