Deputy Emergency Management Leader

The role of Deputy Emergency Management Commissioner will play a critical part in our organisation's emergency management function.
This leadership position involves developing and implementing strategic plans to improve emergency management capability, risk assessment, and operational coordination at state and regional levels.
The successful candidate will lead a team responsible for managing emergency incidents, coordinating response efforts, and ensuring effective delivery of emergency management services.
A strong understanding of emergency management principles, practices, and policies is essential for this role. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to negotiate and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement emergency management strategies and plans
- Lead a team of emergency management professionals
- Manage emergency incidents and coordinate response efforts
- Ensure effective delivery of emergency management services
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Demonstrated experience in emergency management, including incident management and response
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to negotiate and collaborate with multiple stakeholders
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- A strong understanding of emergency management principles, practices, and policies
We offer a competitive remuneration package, including:
- A salary range of $290,601 - $419,000
