Expertise in heritage consulting is required for this role, which involves providing input into the preparation of comprehensive reports on cultural and historical sites. The successful candidate will have a strong background in architecture, history, or a related field, as well as extensive experience in project management and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategies for heritage conservation and management.
  • Conduct research, site inspections, and prepare detailed reports on heritage sites.
  • Provide expert advice on heritage matters, including impact assessments and conservation plans.
  • Manage projects and teams to ensure timely and accurate deliverables.
  • Review and edit reports prepared by junior staff members.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement heritage management plans.

Qualifications:

  • Honours or postgraduate degree in architecture, history, planning, heritage management, or archaeology.
  • Extensive experience in heritage consulting or architectural sector as a senior consultant.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, clients, and community groups.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat Standard.
  • In-depth knowledge of key heritage regulatory and statutory requirements in Victoria.
  • Advanced skills in report writing, editing, and formatting.
