Full-time, fixed-term opportunity for a skilled and motivated individual to join our Centre for Innovation in Pain and Health Research. The successful candidate will take on a leadership role in research projects funded by NHMRC Synergy and Investigator Grants.

The primary responsibilities of this position include leading cohort studies with diverse pain presentations, managing large data sets, and developing advanced understanding of statistical analysis. Additionally, the successful candidate will supervise Honours and HDR students, provide performance feedback, training and mentoring.

This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who have completed a PhD in a field related to pain science, with expertise in cohort studies and clinical pain science. A track record of publications in reputable refereed journals and presenting at conferences is also desirable.

About You

  • Qualifications and Experience
    • PhD in a field related to pain science (physiotherapy, psychology, medicine, other health discipline or science)
    • Experience in leading cohort studies
    • Advanced understanding of pain and pain science
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Ability to quickly acquire skills to implement new clinical and laboratory assessment techniques
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
