The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead with a passion for building scalable, distributed financial infrastructure to lead the development of our new platform, Airwallex Yield. This exciting product provides seamless investment opportunities to customers looking to earn returns on their cash.

The Role

As a Technical Lead, you will help define and implement our team's engineering strategy, which will include leading the selection and rollout of patterns and frameworks across the emerging Core Banking Yield squad. You will be responsible for both the product delivery and overall health of the Engineering Team.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of engineers while remaining hands-on.
  • Solve distributed systems challenges such as scalability, consistency, and latency.
  • Engage in collaborative multi-functional teams.
  • Mastery of backend technologies, specifically Kotlin, Vert.x, Temporal, and Kafka.
  • Experience with cloud technologies like GCP or AWS, along with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Interest in the financial domain.

What We Offer

We offer competitive salaries ranging from **$180,000 to $250,000 per year**, depending on experience.
