Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Apprentice

Embark on a fulfilling career in air conditioning and refrigeration. We have an opportunity for a motivated individual to join our team as a Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Apprentice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside experienced professionals, gaining hands-on experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
  • Work on a variety of projects, including residential installations, renovations, and commercial ventures.
  • Assist senior technicians in performing routine maintenance and servicing of cooling systems.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues in air conditioning and refrigeration systems and make necessary repairs.
  • Learn to read and interpret technical diagrams, manuals, and specifications.
  • Handle and work with refrigerants safely and in accordance with environmental regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed.
  • Participate in on-the-job training and attend relevant classroom sessions.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Collaborate with senior technicians and supervisors to learn from their expertise.

Requirements:

  • Genuine interest in refrigeration, air conditioning, and related systems.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical concepts and an aptitude for technical work.
  • Solid mathematics and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Able to take direction and take the safety of yourself and your team members seriously.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Physically fit and able to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and working in various environments.
