Job Title: Workplace Health Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Workplace Health Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for building a good culture of workplace safety, raising awareness and actively contributing to its development, gaining understanding of relevant legal, regulatory and contractual requirements, participating in health and safety incident investigations and implementing corrective actions, and conducting site risk assessments and implementing preventative actions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to creating a positive work environment that promotes workplace health and safety.
  • Raise awareness among colleagues about workplace health and safety best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to workplace health and safety.
  • Participate in investigations into workplace incidents and develop strategies to prevent future occurrences.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement measures to mitigate them.
Requirements:
  • Ability to complete Certificate 3 in Work Health and Safety within the first year of employment.
  • Capacity to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Intermediate level computer literacy.
  • Able to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
