This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Health and Environmental Specialist.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the implementation, auditing, and improvement of our health, safety, and environmental systems and processes.

Key responsibilities include monitoring compliance, providing expert knowledge and advice, conducting site inspections, and ensuring project personnel have the necessary competencies.

You will also be responsible for incident investigations, injury management, rehabilitation services, and delivering workplace safety training.

Additionally, you will participate in project toolbox and pre-start meetings, provide coaching for HS&E performance improvement, and ensure compliance with relevant legislation, Australian Standards, and Codes of Practice.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 3+ years' experience in leading, investigating, developing, and implementing within mining and civil construction.
  • Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety or equivalent qualification.
  • Qualifications in Auditing of Health, Safety, and Environment Systems.
  • Trained in Alcohol and Drug Screening in the Workplace.
  • Knowledge of construction techniques, current experience in permit-to-work systems, and high-risk work activities.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook email.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to travel and work away from home on various projects throughout Queensland and Northern NSW.
