Anaesthetist/Anesthesiologist

We are seeking highly skilled Anaesthesiologists to join our dynamic team at a major regional hospital in Gippsland, Victoria. As a leading healthcare provider, we offer a unique opportunity to work in a busy and diverse clinical environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care.

The Anaesthesia department provides clinical anaesthesia to all major surgical specialties, with a busy general surgical service and regular sessions with visiting specialist surgeons. The department is also home to an active vascular intervention suite and a growing cardiac catheterisation laboratory.

• Provide high-quality clinical anaesthesia services to patients undergoing surgery
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient care
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical guidelines
• Support the development of junior staff and contribute to the education and training of anaesthesia registrars

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A Bachelor of Medicine with eligibility for unrestricted registration as a specialist with AHPRA
• ANZCA outcome received for work-based assessment
• FANZCA or equivalent (and willingness to transition to FANZCA)

We offer a competitive remuneration package, including:

• Pro rata pay and conditions with hourly pay at the highest possible hourly rate according to seniority
• Generous out-of-hours, full fee-for-service payment
• Total package for full-time anaesthesiologists in excess of $600k p.a.
