The role of Digital Communications Specialist is pivotal in the development and implementation of a comprehensive digital communications strategy. Effective communication within Saab Australia is crucial, requiring a skilled communicator with a strategic mindset.

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead the development of digital communications strategies that engage and inform target external audiences and employees. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the Head of Strategic Communications and Marketing to develop an annual communications plan aligned with Saab's strategy, priorities, and values
  • Leading the development of digital communications strategies to deliver identified communication objectives
  • Partnering with leaders of Saab's business lines and members of the Strategic Communications and Marketing Team to provide expert digital communications advice and support tactical delivery

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with internal functions to deliver and execute integrated internal communication plans that inform and inspire our employees. Your skills and experience will be essential in crafting engaging content across multiple communication channels to foster a culture of engagement, inclusion, and collaboration.

About you

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Demonstrated experience developing digital communication strategies and campaigns
  • Proven experience in a similar communications role, showcasing hands-on ability to develop and execute successful communication strategies
  • Highly developed stakeholder management skills with demonstrated ability to build relationships with senior business leaders

Additional qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or a related field
  • Australian citizen or able to meet citizen eligibility requirements to comply with Defence Industry security requirements
