Our team is passionate about photography and the ocean, and we are seeking a highly skilled Underwater and Product Photographer to join our team as we expand our product line and demand exceptional visual content.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Underwater and Product Photographer to oversee all company photographic assets, set objectives for photo assignments, manage our visual content, and contribute top-tier imagery to our website. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both studio product photography and underwater photography, with a portfolio that showcases their technical expertise and creative vision. This role involves capturing high-quality images in both studio and field settings, including product, lifestyle, and underwater photography.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Capture high-quality images in both studio and field settings, including product, lifestyle, and underwater photography.
  • Maintain and organize the company's photographic assets, ensuring they are easily accessible and properly archived.
  • Plan, organize, and execute photographic assignments, setting clear objectives and timelines.
  • Edit and retouch images using software such as Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom to ensure they meet the highest quality standards.
  • Create and manage visual content for our website, ensuring it aligns with our brand and marketing strategies.
  • Manage photo and studio equipment.
  • Develop and lead underwater photography workshops designed to share underwater photography skills with other people.
  • Work closely with the rest of our team to develop creative concepts that drive engagement and brand recognition.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a professional photographer, with a strong portfolio showcasing both in-studio product photography and underwater work.
  • Proficiency in photo editing software such as Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom.
  • Strong understanding of photography equipment, including cameras, lighting, and underwater housings.
  • Experience in creating and managing visual content for our website, with a particular focus on content that requires advanced underwater photography skills and an in-depth understanding of marine environments.
  • Strong attention to detail with a keen eye for composition, lighting, and color.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with the team and clients.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to team members, clients, and the public.

Desired Criteria:

  • Familiarity with a wide-range of camera systems including Canon, Sony, Nikon, Leica and RED.
  • Advanced open water scuba instructor certification and experience diving in a variety of ocean environments.
  • Experience managing an underwater photography social media page.
  • Strong marine science background.
  • Experience running photography courses or workshops.
  • Strong swimming/snorkeling ability.
