Enhance the lives of individuals with disabilities as a Behaviour Support Practitioner.

You will play a vital role in working collaboratively with participants, their support teams, and caregivers to deliver exceptional outcomes.

  • Develop targeted intervention plans that focus on improving the overall quality of life for participants.
  • Conduct thorough functional behaviour assessments and create Positive Behaviour Support plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Provide training and coaching to staff, carers, and participants for effective plan implementation.

Key goals include:

  • Interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Collaborative teamwork environment
  • Experience in conducting behavioural assessments and developing behaviour support plans for NDIS participants
  • Thorough knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support approaches
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills

Applicants must possess:

  • Bachelor qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, or an Allied Health field
  • Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Program and COVID-19 training

Desirable qualities include current registration with AHPRA/AASW, experience working with individuals who engage in behaviours of concern, and training in positive behaviour support.

This is a casual subcontract position offering professional development assistance and flexible work arrangements.
