Job Title: Future Engineering Specialist

Are you a motivated and analytical individual with a passion for problem-solving? Do you enjoy working on complex industrial systems to optimize their performance?

We are seeking a Graduate Simulation Engineer to join our team in Brisbane, Australia. As a key member of our global delivery centre, you will work on exciting projects to develop innovative solutions that drive business growth.

This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy developing software and have strong analytical skills. You will analyze operational and design data, conduct observations or surveys on industrial sites, and perform analytical calculations.

You will also develop spreadsheet models, create dynamic simulation models (discrete-event simulation), and undertake analytical and simulation studies considering design and operating options to maximize capital returns, reduce operating costs, or improve production output.

In addition to your technical skills, you will have excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. You will work collaboratively in teams and autonomously, with the ability to work independently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze operational and design data to identify areas for improvement
  • Conduct observations or surveys on industrial sites to gather data and insights
  • Develop and implement process improvements using analytical and simulation techniques
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project goals
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or science
  • Strong academic background in mathematics and statistics
  • Experience with discrete event simulation software (e.g., AnyLogic, Arena, Simul8, Simio)
  • Programming skills in at least one object-oriented language (e.g., VBA, Java, C++, C#)
