The Central Coast Council is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Building Surveyor to join their team. This role will play a critical part in delivering quality development and building certification advice and customer service to the industry and general public.
About The Role- This position is responsible for delivering quality development and building certification advice and customer service to the industry and general public.
- The Principal Building Surveyor will accurately and thoroughly assess development applications and perform all functions of a registered certifier, as well as conduct critical stage inspections of building works for all classes of buildings.
- This role will also promote the council's role as a principal certifier and provide mentorship to building surveyors within the section.
- To be successful in this role, you will have a degree qualification in building surveying or a related field, or demonstrated solid contemporary experience in a similar role, combined with ongoing professional development.
- Deliver quality development and building certification advice and customer service to the industry and general public.
- Accurately and thoroughly assess development applications.
- Perform all functions of a registered certifier, including conducting critical stage inspections of building works for all classes of buildings.
- Promote the council's role as a principal certifier and provide mentorship to building surveyors within the section.
- A degree qualification in building surveying or a related field.
- Demonstrated solid contemporary experience in a similar role, combined with ongoing professional development.
- Current registration as a building surveyor (unrestricted) under the Building & Development Certifiers Act.
- Current NSW Class C drivers license.
- A competitive salary range of $99 K to $119 K + market loading available up to $9 K.
- 11.5% superannuation.
- A 9 day fortnight work arrangement.
