Job Summary:
The JPS Medical Recruitment team is seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Principal House Officer to join our client's team in a regional coastal location in Australia. As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for managing the care of patients in the Emergency Department, working closely with consultants, nurses, and allied health professionals.
About the Role:
- Manage the care of patients in the Emergency Department, in consultation with consultants, nurses, and allied health professionals.
- Contribute to continuous Quality Improvement activities and participate in continuing education activities.
- Have the opportunity to work in other areas of the hospital, such as anaesthetics and medical wards, under appropriate supervision.
Requirements:
- Hold current conditional or general registration with AHPRA.
- Have at least 12 months recent experience working within Emergency Medicine.
About the Hospital:
The hospital has recently undergone a major overhaul and expansion, doubling the number of beds to over 300 and increasing the size by 40,000m2. It is a state-of-the-art, fully modern hospital and one of Australia's largest regional healthcare facilities. The hospital provides a range of specialist services, including Emergency Department, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Orthopaedics, Anaesthetics, Intensive Care, Coronary Care, Psychiatry, Aged Care, Renal Medicine, Ear, Nose and Throat, Ophthalmology, Palliative Care, and Day Surgery.
About the Location:
The hospital is situated in a regional city with a local population of over 60,000 and a regional population of over 120,000. The location offers a relaxed way of life, with a well-developed infrastructure, great private schools, shopping, restaurants, and beautiful natural tropical surrounds.
