Electrical Engineering Professional

We are seeking a skilled electrical engineer to join our team in Brisbane or Melbourne.

  • This is a key role in the design and delivery of industrial control and communication systems for electrical protection in power stations.

Our team partners with clients to solve complex technical challenges in the clean energy transition.

  • We span renewables and battery energy storage systems (BESS), modern thermal generation, and transmission and distribution—delivering efficient, reliable, and resilient outcomes across Australia and beyond.
Your Role

In this role, you will:

  • Apply your technical expertise across thermal and renewable power generation projects, including gas turbines (OCGT/CCGT), coal-fired and hydro power stations.
  • Support the design and delivery of control and instrumentation systems (PLC, DCS), functional safety systems (AS 61511), and EEHA-compliant designs.
  • Contribute to the development of control and protection system communications using industrial protocols (Modbus, DNP3, Ethernet/IP, OPC) and IEC 61850 networks.
  • Collaborate with electrical engineers on secondary systems such as protection and excitation systems.
  • Perform electrical engineering analysis and ensure compliance with Australian Standards and relevant legislation.
About You

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Chartered status (CPEng) and registration (RPEQ, RPEV), or working towards.
  • Proven experience in thermal and renewable power generation projects.
  • A proven track record in delivering complex projects within consultancy environments.
  • A strong understanding of safety in design, risk management, and QA/OH&S systems.
