About the Role

Newmont Mining is seeking a skilled Process Maintenance Technician to join our team at our Boddington operation in Western Australia.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, where you will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining equipment in a large fixed plant process mining environment.

As a Maintenance Specialist, you will be required to:

  • Monitor and maintain equipment to ensure safe milling production targets are achieved
  • Repair and maintain components in various areas of the Process Plant, including filtering, reagents, carbon in leach circuit, carbon regeneration, elution, water services, and PM inspections
  • Operate plant equipment, including EWP, forklift, overhead crane, dogging, basic rigging, and Hiab

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A mechanical fitting or fabrication trade certificate with a mechanical background or aptitude
  • A minimum of two years maintenance experience in a large process plant environment
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work within a team
  • Computer skills, including exposure to CMMS (SAP preferred)
  • Knowledge and understanding of statutory regulations relevant to safety and environment for the mining industry
  • A high-risk licence for forklift, elevated work platform, dogging/rigging (preferred)
  • Confined space entry and working at heights (preferred)
  • A current 'C' Class Drivers Licence
