Coatings Technician

We are seeking a skilled Coatings Technician to join our team of professionals.

The role includes:

  • Understanding surface preparation and finishes.
  • Proper handling of all vehicles, giving them due care and detailed attention.
  • Completing works to specifications.
  • Mixing correct ratios of two-part paint coatings.
  • Proper appropriation of consumables and materials to avoid wastage.
  • Selecting paints, varnishes, and stains for various surfaces using brushes, sprays, and rollers.
  • Using Wet Film Thickness Gauges to achieve specified dry film thickness.
  • Working at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Cleaning equipment and work areas.

Requirements include:

  • A Trade Certificate - Certificate III in Surface Preparation or equivalent (for Blaster/Painters).
  • A High Risk Licence for EWP and/or Forklift.
  • Trade Qualifications in Protective Coatings (ACA, NACE, ICorr, or other trade certs).
  • An HR licence, high risk licence with EWP and Forklift.
  • A Drivers Licence (MR or HR class).
