Job Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity for a Resident/JMO to join our team in the Emergency Medicine department at Shellharbour Hospital.

The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for delivering high-quality patient care and be committed to continuous professional development.

Clinical Requirements:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing emergency medical services to patients, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure excellent patient outcomes.

  • Negotiate and provide initial assessment, diagnosis, and management of emergency presentations;
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in consultation with seniors and multidisciplinary teams;
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information;
  • Participate in quality improvement activities and contribute to a culture of safety and excellence.
Key Skills and Qualifications:

The following skills and qualifications are essential for this role:

  • Degree in Medicine or related field;
  • AHPRA registration as a Resident/JMO;
  • Current NSW WWCC;
  • Immunisations/vaccinations;
  • Fellowship & CPD Certificate (if applicable);
  • References;
  • ID check;
  • NHS paperwork (LHD specific);
  • New South Wales Health online training modules.
