About the Role

The Transport Network Operations branch provides top-notch maintenance, construction, and asset management services for all road infrastructure assets. This role is hands-on in delivering efficient day-to-day plant and operations of civil maintenance and construction tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate various heavy machinery and equipment including excavators, loaders, tractors with attachments, rollers, and low loaders.
  • Assist with labouring tasks such as site preparation, material handling, laying pipe, and general maintenance to ensure project delivery.
  • Maintain equipment and safety standards by following manufacturer guidelines and Council procedures.
  • Complete daily documentation including timesheets and incident reports, contributing to accurate records.
Required Skills and Qualifications

This position requires a QLD General Safety Induction (Construction Industry) Blue Card, a C Class Driver's Licence, a Heavy Rigid (HR) Driver's Licence, a Certificate III in Civil Construction or relevant equivalent experience, and relevant licences for operating heavy machinery and equipment.
