At the ACT Government, we are seeking an experienced Senior Director to lead our Strategic Infrastructure and Sustainability section within the Asset Management and Delivery (AMD) Branch of the Education Directorate (EDU).

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in strategic asset management, with experience in developing and maintaining asset management plans and environmental sustainability strategies.

We offer a competitive salary package, with a gross annual salary range of $143,000 - $161,000, plus superannuation and annual leave loading.

Job Description

  • Develop and implement strategic asset management plans to ensure that EDU's building and infrastructure assets meet agreed levels of service, at an acceptable level of risk, and at the most sustainable cost.
  • Lead a team of professionals to develop and maintain environmental sustainability strategies and policies.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to identify and prioritize infrastructure needs and opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain effective relationships with external partners, including contractors and consultants.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Relevant professional qualification in Engineering, Architecture or Project Management, or accreditation with a professional body recognised within Australia.
  • Significant experience in strategic asset management, preferably in a corporate government environment.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, effective time management skills, and ability to work under pressure and achieve deadlines.
