Job Description
The Antarctic Refueller will work closely with other voyage support staff, members of the shipboard and station-base Mechanical Team, in executing refueling operations in Antarctica and the sub-Antarctic. This includes delivery of briefings, equipment setup, relief supervision of the refueling operation, and equipment pack up.
The role requires effective management of significant safety and environmental risks associated with fuel transfer in an environmentally sensitive location and Antarctic conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Refueling Supervisor in the execution of refueling operations
- Contribute to a small team and be resilient in isolated environment
- Work effectively in a cold climate, exposed marine situations such as those found in Antarctica and the Southern Ocean
