About the Role
The University of Notre Dame Australia is seeking expressions of interest from experienced academics to join our team as sessional academic staff members. As a sessional academic staff member, you will have the opportunity to teach and contribute to the development of our students.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct tutorials and lectures to the standard of the School, preparing lesson plans and facilitating group discussions to enhance student engagement.
- Consult with students on readings, weekly topics, and upcoming assessments.
- Assist with assessment administration, including marking, entering results, and providing feedback to students as required.
- Attend meetings as required by the Course Coordinator or Program Coordinator.
- Identify students at risk through thorough tutorial attendance recording.
About You
- You will be supportive of the Objects of Notre Dame as a Catholic University.
- You will have a minimum of an undergraduate qualification and prior teaching experience at the tertiary level, with a sound understanding of pedagogical and/or adult learning principles.
- You will be able to deliver quality learning and teaching practices in multiple modes, including online delivery.
- You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to foster high levels of collegiality and empathise with students.
- You will be able to assess priority of tasks, manage workload, and meet deadlines in a busy education environment.
