Aged Care Occupational Therapist

Improve the quality of life for older adults through our Aged Care Occupational Therapy role.

About the Role:

This position offers a diverse caseload across community and residential settings, allowing you to apply your clinical skills and expertise. You will work collaboratively with clients and families to develop tailored interventions and assessments that enhance mobility, independence, and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assessment and Intervention: Conduct thorough functional assessments, mobility reviews, and equipment prescriptions to identify areas for improvement.
  2. Pain Management and Falls Prevention: Develop and implement evidence-based interventions to alleviate pain and prevent falls in older adults.
  3. Care Planning and Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to create goal-oriented care plans that meet the unique needs of each client.
  4. Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of client interactions and progress.
  5. Team Collaboration and Support: Leverage the expertise of senior therapists and administrative staff to ensure best-practice care delivery.
You'll Need:
  • AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist
  • Experience or strong interest in aged care or community health
  • Valid driver's licence and own car (travel reimbursed)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care
  • Flexible full-time or part-time hours
  • Dedicated support from senior therapists and admin staff
