About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Tactical Buyer to join our Above Water Systems (AWS) Team at Garden Island. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in optimizing our customer service rate and enhancing the reliability of our procurement process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary point of contact between Thales and our suppliers, fostering strong relationships and ensuring seamless communication.
  • Efficiently manage the end-to-end procurement process, from creating orders to closure, utilizing our ERP system and purchasing tools.
  • Implement Thales' purchasing strategy, taking ownership of orders and ensuring timely deliveries, resolving issues, and updating information systems.
  • Proactively handle shortages, delays, and returns, continuously improving procurement strategy to balance inventory levels and delivery punctuality.
Requirements
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to anticipate needs, challenge suppliers, and mobilize resources.
  • Proficiency in Excel and ERP purchasing tools, with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in building internal and supplier relationships, with knowledge of commercial contracts and order management processes.
