Job Summary

We are seeking skilled and experienced professionals to join our team at Rops Engineering Australia, a renowned engineering business specializing in heavy vehicle body modifications and Roll Over / Falling Object Protective Structures (ROPS and FOPS) for heavy vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welder/Metal Fabricator
    • Fabricate metal products and structures from workshop drawings
    • Assist with fabrication and welding processes
    • Cut, shape, assemble, and weld steel to construct and repair metal products and structures
    • Study specifications and drawings to determine suitable materials and methods
    • Maintain workshop tools
  • Mechanical Engineering Technician/Fitter
    • Assist engineers with preparing drawings and computer-generated plans
    • Read and work according to drawings to determine correct materials and machine components
    • Inspect finished work and maintain components and parts
    • Cost estimation for machine requirements
    • Service and certification of knuckle boom cranes
    • Installation of cranes and associated hardware
    • Manage certification systems and compliance of crane activities
  • Diesel Motor Mechanics and Motor Mechanics
    • Test and repair motor vehicles and diesel motors
    • Diagnose faults, replace parts, reassemble parts, and perform scheduled maintenance services
  • Painter/Finisher
    • Liaise with workshop supervisor regarding installation works and painting requirements
    • Prepare surfaces and paint in accordance with guidelines
    • Check job cards for special instructions and prepare and paint accordingly
    • Keep accurate time records using the App
    • Keep paint materials in an orderly and safe manner
    • Keep paint booths clean
  • Auto Electrician and Mechanical Engineering Draftsperson
    • Maintain and install motor vehicle electrical components
    • Prepare mechanical engineering plans and drawings

Requirements

  • At least 2 years' experience in a similar role
  • Relevant trade certificate and qualification
