**Workforce Planner - Senior Role**
This key position requires a strategic thinker who can align labor and skills across our AMS business in Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating optimized schedules, forecasting short and long-term labor needs, and leveraging technician competence for effective job assignments.
The National Workforce Scheduler will work closely with Contract Holders, Branches, and Workshops to align workload, shift allocation, and technician deployment. They will also participate in regular contract-specific planning sessions and provide insights on current and future manning levels, recruitment needs, shortfalls, coverage risks, and opportunities to optimize teams.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, an ability to think creatively, and excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination. Experience in resource planning for industries within field services, infrastructure, utilities, or maintenance is highly desirable.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Create and maintain optimized schedules across diverse contracts and regions.
- Forecast short and long-term labor needs and leverage technician competence for effective job assignments.
- Participate in regular contract-specific planning sessions.
- Provide insights on current and future manning levels, recruitment needs, shortfalls, coverage risks, and opportunities to optimize teams.
**Qualifications:**
- Degree in Business Management or equivalent experience preferred.
- 2+ years in workload planning, resource scheduling, or technician coordination.
- Experience working across multiple service contracts and regions.
- Proven experience developing interactive reports or dashboards for senior stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or similar reporting tools preferred.
- Understanding of WFM and ERP systems (e.g., Kronos, Monday.com, SAP, Workday, Maximo).
